LO79952: BAD EVENT EXCEPTIONSTARTTIME FROM DEVICE CAN CAUSE TRAVELER TO DROP INSTANCE OF EVENT FOR CHAIR

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Traveler is seeing instances of event updates from BB10 devices
  that contain ExceptionStartTime field (exception
  instance to reucrring rule) that contains a date that does not
  match any date on the recurring rule. This can cause
  Traveler to lose an instance of the event on the server in
  cases where no other Exceptions with a correct
  ExceptionStartTime exist in the event update.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Traveler is seeing instances of event updates from Blackberry 10
  devices that contain ExceptionStartTime field (exception
  instance to reucrring rule) that contains a date that does not
  match any date on the recurring rule. This can cause
  Traveler to lose an instance of the event on the server in
  cases where no other Exceptions with a correct
  ExceptionStartTime exist in the event update.
  

Problem conclusion

• Notes Traveler Server was updated to correctly handle the event
  updates from Blackberry 10 devices.
  

Temporary fix

• This fix will be included in Notes Traveler
  9.0.0.1 IF6, 9.0.1 IF5 and later releases. For the latest
  maintenance releases,
