Error description
This was discovered using an Apple device, but we later found the same behavior could be seen with a Windows device or a BlackBerry device. This is not a common scenario, but was found that if there was some sort of delay or connectivity issue while sending a mail from one of these devices, there is the potential that the mail would actually get sent twice. It was very timing related so end users may or may not have experienced this issue.

Problem summary
Customer reported an intermittent issue with an Apple device sending a mail twice. The problem usually was seen while on of the servers in the HA pool was being restarted.
Problem conclusion
The Notes Traveler server was updated to handle this scenario correctly and prevent the device from sending the mail more than once.
Temporary fix
This fix is included in Notes Traveler 9.0.1 IF4 and 9.0.0.1 IF5 and all future releases. For the latest Notes Traveler maintenance release information please see this technote: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
