Error description
By default, Traveler will append the mail domain to Domino canonical names on mail addresses when mail is synced from the device through the server. If the lookup finds a null domain, it is not included. But if the domain is not null but empty, it was still being included causing canonical addresses to end with just @ making some mails undeliverable. The fix to is to not include an empty domain (treat it like a null or unspecified domain).
Local fix
Problem summary
When sending mail from a mobile device using Notes Traveler the mail may fail to deliver if an empty domain is detected and appended to the address.
Problem conclusion
Pretty rare scenario but the Notes Traveler server was updated to remove a domain that has no value. The no value domain would cause delivery failure as the address would then be malformed by ending in an @ symbol.
Temporary fix
This fix is included in Notes Traveler 9.0.1 IF4 and 9.0.0.1 IF5 and all future releases. For the latest Notes Traveler maintenance release information please see this technote: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
