LO78786: LINE RETURNS IN THE OUT OF OFFICE BODY DO NOT PERSIST

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Line returns/breaks entered when editing the out of office body
  message from Traveler are lost when synced with the server and
  viewed with Notes/iNotes.
  
  Additionally, this APAR addresses long out of office body
  messages being truncated when they exeeded the maximum number of
  characters (500). We are now extending the maximum to
  4000.

Problem summary

• Out of office reply messages were losing formatting/content:
  
  Line returns entered when editing the OOO body message from
  Traveler were lost when synced with the Traveler server and
  viewed with Notes/iNotes.
  
  OOO body messages longer than 500 characters were truncated
  when entered or modified via Traveler.
  

Problem conclusion

• The format of the line returns were changed so that Windows
  machines would recognize them and they would not be lost on
  sync.
  
  Additionally, the maximum OOO body size was increased from 500
  characters to 4000 characters.
  

Temporary fix

• Will be included in next release for versions 9.0.0.1 and 9.0.1
