Error description

  • Traveler updates Domino events time zone field string format
with Java time zone name or a generated name. As a result, for
time zone offsets which Notes has multiple time zone names the
original time zone name selected in Notes is lost. This causes
Notes to display the 1st time zone name in its list for that
offset instead of the original one used when the event was
    created in Notes.

    Traveler should
maintain the existing time zone name unless the device changes
the time zone for the event.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Somewhat rare scenario where Notes Traveler may change the time
zone name on an event to a different time zone name with the
    same offset.

Problem conclusion

  • The Notes Traveler server has been updated to preserve the
original time zone name if the off set is the same.
