LO78404: NOTES TRAVELER NOT DETECTED MAIL SEVER FAILOVER IN ALL CASES

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • There is a timing window where Notes Traveler is not processing
    the mail server fail over case properly and is still trying to
    monitor the primary mail server that is down. Until either the
    mail server comes back up or that the Notes Traveler is
    restarted in the standalone case or the user is moved the
    another Traveler server in the HA Pool.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Somewhat rare timing condition where the Traveler server may not
    detect the primary mail server is now offline.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The Notes Traveler server has been updated to prevent this from
    happening.
