APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • User sync contacts to activesync device. From Notes or iNotes
    they try to remove the contact email address. The email address
    reappears in the contact a short time later.
    

Local fix

  • No good work around. User can modify the contact to an non-blank
    value.
    

Problem summary

  • When deleting the e-mail address from a contact via iNotes or
    Notes client, the stored value on an Apple device will sync back
    to the server and re-populate the address field.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The Notes Traveler server has been updated to handle this
    scenario correctly and ensure the Apple device relects the
    change on the server.
