Error description
User synch fails with "Traveler access rights." When a user tries to synch with Notes Traveler 9.0.1 some user may get the message of "'User CN=XXXX' failed because the user CN=XXXX does not have IBM Notes Traveler access rights." This can be bypassed by adding notes.ini parameter NTS_BACKENDMANAGER_SET_UNREAD_REPLICATION=true. The user should be able synch with in 4 hours or Tell Traveler User <userId> would refresh the cache or a restart of Notes Traveler.
Local fix

Problem summary
A few new users reported inability to configure device after upgrade to 9.0.1. The users would get this error message "'User CN=XXXX' failed because the user CN=XXXX does not have IBM Notes Traveler access rights."
Problem conclusion
The error message was misleading. The real error is the user does not have read/unread marks configured to replicate. In 9.0.1 this validation failure was mistakenly handled as access violation and the user would not be able to continue until the Read/Unread mark replication was resolved. The fix is to not block sync based on that configuration option, use a better message if encountered, and finally attempt to configure read/unread mark synchronization on the user's behalf when this is detected.
Temporary fix
