Error description

  • IDVault download old ID file to user workstation after rename
    process completed
    without error.
The user is not able to connect anymore to any resource as all
    database contain
    the new name.

Rename user in admin client and run all the steps to rename :

1 Rename user in domino directory to create "initiate Rename in
    Domino
    Directory" request
2 User connects to start the rename process and create the
    "Rename Person in
    Domino Directory" request
3 Adminp performs the "Rename Person" request and creates the
    requests :
    - Rename in Access control List
    - Rename in Person Documents
    - Rename Person in Unread List
    - Rename Person in FreeTime Database
4 Adminp process the above requests ( either on the
    administrative server
and/or the other servers (inclu. Home server)).
5 At end of the process the IDVault should contains the Old and
    New name for
the ID File entry, but it's not the case only the old name is
    used for the user.

At the next connection to the home mail server the old ID file
    is downloaded
    from the Vault.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • If the client ID file has the newer name and the ID vault has
the older name, after a sync the client ID file is reverted to
use the older name. On the next sync, the name is updated to
the new name. The new name should be used/refreshed in the ID
     vault on the first sync.
