LO77037: WHILE INPUT SEARCH KEY USING CHINESE PRC SIMPLIFIED, IT PROMPTS UP BOXES WITH ONLY ONE CHINESE WORD

Error description

  • Steps to reproduce:
    1. Install Notes 8.5.3 or Notes 9.0 for English on Windows 7
    English version.
    2. Open a mail database which is using mail85.ntf as mail
    template.Open the
    "inbox" folder.
    3. Switch the input method for Chinese input method "CH
    Chinese(Simplified,PRC)" ,then input  Search
    key (Chinese words,such as " ? è"),then press space or return  €
    to confirm the
    content of search.
    4. It promts only one Chinese character ( ?) in the box.
    
    
    then i click the "close" button, it will promt another box with
    the second
    Chinese character( è).                                         €
    
    Remark: Notes8.5.3 for Chinese does not have this problem.
    
    
    More testing result:
    (1)Notes8.5.3 English version +mail85.ntf for English, it will
    have the
    problem.
    (2) )Notes8.5.3 English version +mail85.ntf for Chinese, it will
    have
    the problem.
    (3)Notes8.5.3 Chinese version +mail85.ntf for English, it does
    not have
    the problem.
    (4)Notes8.5.3 Chinese version +mail85.ntf for Chinese, it does
    not have
    the problem.
    
    In addition, Customer had shown me that when he used Notes8.5.3
    English-
    version + mail template 7.0 for English , it works fine.
    

Local fix

  • press "Ctrl+F",then input the Chinese character in the box
