Error description
When the server builds a response and the client is not longer connected to receive the response, the server caches the response to use if the client repeats the same request (which often happens). When the device connects again, the cache is checked. If the request matches the response, it is sent to the device. If the sending requires streaming content from the user's mail server, it could take a relatively long time. While it is sending the message, all other requests are waiting for access to this cache and being held up until it completes. This may cause many Worker threads to be running and just waiting on this cache which prevents the devices from getting timely responses.
Local fix
Problem summary
Retrieving large cache values may block other threads from using cache.
Problem conclusion
Notes Traveler server has been updated to properly multi-thread potentially long running cache access threads.
Temporary fix
This issue is fixed in Notes Traveler 9.0.0.1 IF1 and later releases. See this technote for the latest available maintenance information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
