APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In Some cases ,During traveler 90 automatic schema
upgrade schema migration stalls and runs into incorrect schema
version. This causes traveler server to indefinitely
keep waiting for the schema change to occur.

Local fix

  • DBA can use the DDL provided with traveler and apply the schema
migration scripts manually . Then set the NTS_AUTO_DBSCHEMA ini
setting to false and restart domino.

Problem summary

  • Seen a few cases where the DB schema migration will stall and
then not continue leaving the server at an unsupported Schema
Version. There is a manual work around available. The issue
was only seen when using DB2 and only very occasionally.

Problem conclusion

  • The Notes Traveler server has been updated to handle to prevent
    this from happening.

Temporary fix
