LO74163: DUPLICATE AND/OR ORPHAN DEVICE DOCUMENTS IN LOTUSTRAVELER.NSF AFTER UPGRADE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After Upgrading to 853up2, there is a possibility that duplicate
  or orphan device documents
  gets created in LotusTraveler.nsf and will appear in device
  security view.
  

Local fix

• For clearing the duplicate device documents
  run these tell commands
  
  
  tell traveler delete <deviceid> <username>
  tell traveler security delete <deviceid> <username>
  
  for clearing the orphan device documents , if those devices are
  no longer in use, and doesnt have any security action  pending,
  then run this tell command
  
  tell traveler security <deviceid> <username>
  

Problem summary

• In some rare cases customers reported some duplicate entries in
  the Admin interface after migrate from a stand alone server to
  an HA environment using an Enterprise DB.
  

Problem conclusion

• This is not common, but some user data created temporarily could
  get migrated.  The Notes Traveler server has been updated to
  prevent this from happening.
  

Temporary fix

• This fix is included in Notes Traveler 8.5.3 Upgrade Pack 2
  Interim Fix 1 and will be included in all future releases.
