Error description
When using the "Check for update" option in the Android client, the download progress may pause or may restart. This can affected by tapping the screen to keep the device from sleeping.
Local fix
Tapping the screen or otherwise keeping the device from entering sleep mode will improve the situation.
Problem summary
Customer reported that sometimes an Android client update would not download. The download would start then appear to stop around 30% or so. After repeated tries the download would complete successfully.
Problem conclusion
After further investigation it was found some device actions may interfere with the download. The download manager in the Android client was updated to prevent this issue.
Temporary fix
