LO72672: INOTES CUSTOM PASSWORD POLICY FOR INOTES USERS DOES NOT WORK FOR FIREFOX BROWSER

APAR status

Error description

• The procedure documented in technote 1330456 "How to implement a
  Custom Password Policy for iNotes users" does not work for
  Inotes user running on Firefox 16.  The attached user ID is
  changing the password, but the adminp does not update the
  "internet password" field and no request is created in the
  admin4.nsf. When users follows the procedure, Firefox will
  display the error message below:

  Steps to reproduce the issue:
  1- Follow the procedure documented in technote 1330456
  2- Try to change the internet password via Inotes preferences.
  
  After Firefox displays the error message, user will notice the
  password was changed for the user, but the admin4.nsf has
  no request to update the "internet password". If user tries
  again, user needs to type the "new password" on the "old
  password field" and the "new password field". At this time the
  adminp will create a request in the admin4.nsf and the
  "Internet password" field will be updated.
  

Local fix

• Use the Internet Explorer 7, 8 and 9 the issue does not occur.
