Error description
Long running or hung thread to process notice action for a users blocks processing notice actions for other users. Blocking changed to be on per user basis.
Local fix
Problem summary
Customer reported Traveler server seemed to hang for a period of time. Server could become unresponsive.
Problem conclusion
It was found that a particular thread was simply taking a long time, but blocking other threads from continuing. The scenario is not common, but the Traveler server has been updated to prevent blocking other threads from running and thus improving overall performance.
Temporary fix
This fix is included in Notes Traveler 8.5.3.3 IF2 on Fix Central and will be included in future maintenance release as well. For latest maintenance information see this technote: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
