APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
The server may fold header lines and place tab characters in the headers. The client does not process these in anyway and they end up getting included in the mail addresses, making the address invalid. We need to ignore tabs in address headers when doing reply or forward.
Local fix
User can examine address lines in a reply and remove any apparent tabs. Problem is that sometimes they may not be apparent and this is a considerable burden on the user.
Problem summary
Reply may corrupt addresses on Android device depending on Address format.
Problem conclusion
The Notes Traveler client for Android devices has been updated to handle encoding correctly for all address formats.
Temporary fix
This fix is included in Notes Traveler 8.5.3 Upgrade Pack 2 and all later releases. For latest maintenance information see this technote: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
