Error description
Customer reported that some Apple device users will stop syncing for a period of time. Often the device will start syncing again after a while on its own. This appears to be a bug in the Apple device which will continuously send provision requests. The fix for this will be to try and get the device to walk out of this loop sooner.
Local fix
Often power off and back on the device will resolve the issue.
Problem summary
This is a work around for a known Apple bug. The device will appear to not sync for a while and you will see sync key errors in the logs.
Problem conclusion
The workaround is to try and "convince" the device to use the correct keys. If no action is taken, the dvice eventually starts working again. With this workaround the behavior should be minimized.
Temporary fix
This fix is included in Notes Traveler 8.5.3 Upgrade Pack 2 and all later releases. For latest maintenance information see this technote: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
