Error description
See T/N suggestion Windows 2008 Interactive Services Detection Windows Interactive Services detection dialogue launches when Domino is set to run as a service This was found in Windows 2008 R2 SP1 The following registry entry \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Lotus Domino Server, the ImagePath value was set to "E:IBM\lotus\domino\nservice.exe" "=E:IBM\lotus\domino\notes.ini" As the customer does not want to use the Java Console, however this provokes the Windows Interactive Services Detection dialogue
Local fix
Not to remove registry settings in this way but customers would like to know why this behaviour ensues or to reverse..... Amending the entry to the default "E:IBM\lotus\domino\nservice.exe" "=E:IBM\lotus\domino\notes.ini" "-jc" "-c" Allows Windows to start as a service with no issue NB Domino installed to E:\IBM\Lotus\Domino
