Error description
The current code defaults to attempting a sync when Traveler Service starts. This is not correct if the user is in manual mode.
Local fix
Problem summary
Customer found that the Lotus Traveler client on Android may sometimes sync data even though they have selected Manual Sync only in the settings.
Problem conclusion
It was found that the application periodically closed and restarted due to low memory situation on the device. The restart action would always cause a sync. The Lotus Traveler client for Android was updated to honor the Manual Sync setting during startup.
Temporary fix
