Error description
If a user on the device creates a calendar entry with a large number (non-infinite) of repeating events it can cause Lotus Notes Traveler running on Linux to crash. Lotus Notes Traveler already limits "repeat forever" reoccurrence rules so that it will work with Domino. This APAR will make all repeating entries be limited by that same limitation.
Local fix
Have the user not create large number of repeating entries from the device.
Problem summary
On some devices you can create a repeating meeting that has two many occurances for Domino to handle. This causes issues with the Domino/Traveler server.
Problem conclusion
The Lotus Traveler server was updated to put an upper bound on number of recurences to match what the Domino server can handle. The default upper bound is 250 instances of the same event.
Temporary fix
This fix will be included in Lotus Traveler 8.5.3.2 and later releases. Please see this technote for latest available maintenance for Lotus Traveler: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
