Error description

  • The Domino API that Lotus Notes Traveler was calling is sending
the return receipt when it is called vs when the document is
read by the end user. In the Lotus Notes Traveler case the
return receipt was being sent when the document was synched to
the device, not when the user actually read the document.

This fix is work around the the fact that the API is sending the
return receipt at the wrong time.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Return reciept message may be sent more than once for a Phone
    Message.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem was tracked to the Domino API being used could spawn
the return reciept message then Lotus Traveler would explicitly
send the return reciept message. The use of the Domino API was
updated to suppress the unwanted return reciept message.
