APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Folders names starting with '(' are assumed to be a hidden
folder and are skipped, even though the folders were not hidden
folders. The change is to verify that the folder names are
indeed hidden folders before skipping them.

Local fix

  • Change the folder name to start with another character other
    than '('

Problem summary

  • Customer reported that folders with format "(text) name" did not
sync to the mobile device even though they are valid folder
    names.

Problem conclusion

  • Folder names with format "(name)" is considered a hidden folder
by the Notes client and Domino server. Lotus Traveler was
incorrectly viewing folder name with format "(text) name" as a
hidden folder. The Lotus Traveler server was updated to handle
    this correctly.
