LO63808: COMPACT MARKS DATABASE CORRUPT FOR "RRVREADPAGE: RRV CONTAIN HEA DER WAS INVALID"

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Scheduled copy style compact of heavily used database
  periodically reports corruption with RRV bucket.  No issues are
  reported prior to compact utility running against the database
  and corruption does not occur after every compact request.
  
  Console reports the following type of activity during scheduled
  compaction:
  
  Informational, compression of design documents is already
  enabled in database ABC.nsf.
  Informational, compression of data documents is already enabled
  in database ABC.nsf.
  Informational, LZ1 is already enabled in database ABC.nsf.
  
  Compacting ABC.nsf (My Corrupting Database),  -c -ZU -n -v
  
  Attempting to compress all data documents in database ABC.nsf.
  
  Recovery Manager:  Assigning new DBIID for /notes/data/ABC.nsf
  (need new backup for media recovery).
  
  **** DbMarkCorrupt(RRVReadPage: RRV container header was
  invalid), DB=/notes/data/ABC.nsf
  

Local fix

• None - attempts to run fixup against corrupted database and only
  way to resolve is to recover database from another replica or
  from prior backup.
