Error description
When a user name change there is a period of time (normally 24 hours) where a user will not be able to receive data from Lotus Notes Traveler. Lotus Notes Traveler continues processing prime synchs for the old name vs the new name. After a time period of about 24 hours the user should start to see emails being synched to the device.
Local fix
Tell Traveler reset * <Old User CN Name> Tell Traveler reset * <New User CN Name>
Problem summary
After a user name change, new data will not sync for a period of about 24 hours.
Problem conclusion
The problem has to do with prime syncing, which is the process of monitoring the mail file for changes. The prime sync was still using the old name instead of the new one. By default the prime sync is cleared after 24 hours if no user activity. After that time if the user logged in it would prime sync using the correct name. The Lotus Traveler server was updated to resolve this issue.
Temporary fix
This fix will be included in 8.5.2.4, 8.5.3.1 and all future releases. See this technote for latest maintenance info: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
