APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Customer reported that if for some reason the calendar
    application terminated and they restarted it that the alram
    process would not be reactivated, therefore would not recieve
    alarms.  A soft reset of the device solves the problem.
    

Local fix

  • Soft Reset device.
    

Problem summary

  • Customer reported that if you terminate the Calendar app on
    Android
    (either intentionally or otherwise) when the Calendar app
    restarts the calendar alarms are not restored and will not go
    off.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The current alarm set is cleared when the app is terminated.
    The fix here is to be sure the alarms are reset when the app
    starts.
