APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The problem is that an internet address that has @inet appended
to internet address is not interpreted as an internet address.
This causes a name lookup & possibly finding incorrect user when
responding to an email from the user.

The sample address is User@xyz.com@inet where inet was appended
    by the router.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Customer replied to an e-mail on Apple device and it went to the
    wrong recipient.

Problem conclusion

  • Issue had to do with the format of the address, similar to:
    User@xyz.com@inet

An address of this format was not processed correctly, and could
under some circumstances resolve to a different user name. The
Lotus Traveler serve was updated to handle this scenario
    correctly.
