Error description

  • Customer reported getting error 8 when syncing with the Lotus
    Traveler server.  The problem looks to be a timeout scenario
    when processing a recurring meeting that has large gaps between
    instances.  In this particular case the recurrance gap was 12
    years.

Problem summary

  • Customer was getting error 8 syncing with Lotus Traveler server.
     The error was tracked to a sync timeout.  The timeout was
    occuring because the server was taking too long to process a
    recurring meeting that has unusually long time gaps between
    instances, in this case 12 years.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Processing of this type of event was improved so that
    performance is not effected and timeouts are avoided.
