Error description

  • With the Embedded Browser disabled for MIME messages, HTML
messages received with Bold, Italic or Underline tags are not
rendering in the body of the message in the 8.5.2 client.

They will render properly if the message is replied or
forwarded.

Unchecking "Disable Embedded Browser for MIME messages" fixes
the situation.

User mail preferences are "Leave in sender's format."
