Error description

  • Due to the change in $ServerAccess view selection criteria in
    the 8.5.2 version of pubnames.ntf, Domino server 702 denying
    users and agent access when using the 852 template

    Customer having mixed Domino servers version and trying to use
    latest 8.5.2 version of pubnames.ntf on all of the servers
    including 702 however the new template is not working as
    expected on 702 Domino

    Servers in the form of denying users to access the server and
    reverting back to 851 or earlier NAB template works fine.

    In the view ($ServerAccess) the View Selection is changed from
    (8.5.1):

    SELECT (Type = "Group" & (@IsUnavailable (
    GroupType)|GroupType="0" :
    "2":"3":"4")) & Form="Group" & @IsUnavailable($Conflict)

    to (8.5.2):

    allfields := @DocFields;
    test1 := 0;
    test2 := 0;
    @For(i:=1; i < @Elements(allfields); i:=i+1; test1 := test1 +
    @If(@UpperCase(allfields[i]) = "LISTNAME";1;0));
    @For(i:=1; i < @Elements(allfields); i:=i+1; test2:=test2 +
    @If(@UpperCase(allfields[i]) = "SHORTNAME";1;0));
    SELECT (test1 < 2 & test2 = 0 &Type = "Group" & (@IsUnavailable
    (GroupType)|GroupType="0" : "2":"3":"4")) & Form="Group" &
    @IsUnavailable($Conflict)

    This View Selection is not being understood correctly by the
    server running 7.0.2 using 852 NAB Template

    The 8.5.2 design does not work on the 7.0.2 servers, meaning the
    server does not understand the selection made in that design.

    The problem is that the fix that was implemented to resolve the
    issue as described in the TN making coexistence between Domino
    8.5.2 servers and 7.0.2 servers with
    the new design impossible:

    Title: Domino 8.5.2 prohibits the use of ShortName field
    in Group
    documents
    Doc #:        1447661
    URL:
    http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21447661

    They don't have shortnames in these groups so the issue is not
    related to shortname field

    The IBM recommendations already informed to the customer i.e.use
    same version of template as of the Domino however the problem
    needs to be informed.
