LO58638: "FAILED WITH RETURN CODE '267' - THE DIRECTORY NAME IS INVALID" FOUND WHEN INSTALLING MUI USING COMMAND LINE SYNTAX

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The customer has reported an issue installing MUI package using
  command line syntax.
  
  The issue can be reproduced as follows.
  1) Install Notes client version 8.5.2 standard with notes
  directory set to c:\notes and data directory set to
  c:\notes\data
  2) Install 8.5.2 Fix Pack 1
  3) Install the MUI package for 8.5.2 Notes client for Group 1
  (CZMH6ML) using the command line syntax:
  
  setup.exe /s /v"/qb+ ADDLOCAL=German
  INITIALUILANG=de REPLACELOCALDB=1 LOCALDBLANG=de"
  
  4. Now check the local install log you will see the following:
  
  Error - 'SetTargetPath' for 'SHARED_MUI' failed with return
  code '267' - The directory name is invalid
  
  5. Uninstall the MUI using the GUI, and then install using the
  GUI interface. No error appears in the log
  
  
  The issue only occurs using the command line syntax
