Error description
When renaming a user using the Administration Process, it states in the Domino Administrator Help, the rename is supposed to proceed without any user intervention. The Help states that when the Administrator initiates a rename, then the ID file in the ID vault will be changed (and the process will be automatically kicked off, similar to the way a web user is renamed). Then later, when the user logs into the server with the ID file, the users copy of the ID file will be updated from the ID vault copy. This does not happen. Once the Rename is initiated, the initial request is placed into the Administration Process Database (Admin4.nsf), but no further actions are performed until the user logs in and authenticates on the server with the Notes Client.
Local fix
Users who have ID files must log into the Domino Mail Server to trigger the next step in the Admin Process.
