Error description

  • If you compose new "Response" document using Action
    (@Command([Compose]) or @PostedCommand([Compose]) or
    ComposeDocument method) and save it, the document is saved like
    "Response To Response" document rather than "Response" document.
    
    [Steps to Reproduce]
    
    Steps to create test database.
    
    1. Create new database for test.
    2. Create new form.
    3. Confirm that [Type] in [Form Info] tab of [Form] property is
    "Document".
    4. Create new text field.
    5. Name it "text1".
    6. Name the form "Main" and save it.
    7. Create new form.
    8. Change [Type] in [Form Info] tab to "Response".
    9. Create new text field.
    10. Name it "text2".
    11. Name the form "Response" and save it.
    12. Create new form.
    13.   Change [Type] in [Form Info] tab to "Response To
    Response".
    14. Create new text field.
    15. Name it "text2".
    16. Name the form "Response To Response" and save it.
    17. Create new view.
    18. Confirm that [Show response documents i n a hierarchy] in
    [Options] tab of [View] property is checked.
    19. Prepare 2 columns.
    20. Check [Show responses only] in [Column Info]tab of [Column]
    property of first column.
    21. Set first column to display "text2 field.
    22. Set the width of first column be narrow.
    23. Set second column to display "text1 field.
    24. Create new action.
    25. Set following @Command.
    
         @Command([Compose];"Response")
    
    26. Name the action "@Command([Compose];"Response")" and save
    it.
    27. Create new action.
    28. Set following @PostedCommand.
    
         @PostedCommand([Compose];"Response")
    
    29. Name the action "@PostedCommand([Compose];"Response")" and
    save it.
    30. Create new action.
    31. Set following LotusScript code.
    
         Sub Click(Source As Button)
          Dim workspace As New NotesUIWorkspace
          Call workspace.ComposeDocument( "", "", "Response" )
         End Sub
    
    32. Name the action "ComposeDocument" and save it..
    33. Name the view "testview" and save it.
    
    
    ?Steps to Reproduce
    
    1. Open the database and open "testview" view.
    2. Compose new document by [Create - Main] and input proper data
    in "test1" field and save it.
    3. Compose new document by [Create - Response] and input proper
    data in "test2" field and save it.
    4. Select created Response document.
    5. Compose new document by [Create - Response] again and input
    proper data in "test2" field and save it.
    6. You see that the document is displayed as response to Main
    document correctly.
    7. Confirm that Response document you created at step 3 is
    selected.
    8. Execute "@Command([Compose];"Response")" action  and input
    proper data in "test2" field and save it.
    9. Then, you see that the document is displayed as response to
    Response document you created at step 3. This is NOT correct.
    10. Confirm that Response document you created at step 3 is
    selected.
    11. Execute "@PostedCommand([Compose];"Response")" action  and
    input proper data in "test2" field and save it.
    12. Then, you see that the document is displayed as response to
    Response document you created at step 3. This is NOT correct.
    13. Confirm that Response document you created at step 3 is
    selected.
    14. Execute "ComposeDocument" action  and input proper data in
    "test2" field and save it.
    15. Then, you see that the document is displayed as response to
    Response document you created at step 3. This is NOT correct.
    
    * You can reproduce about @PostedCommand using "Discussion"
    database.

  • Compose Response document by  [Create - Response] if the action
    does not contain other code/function.
