Error description
On the OS400 Running Domino 8.5.1 CIDR address's are not working as expected. -Customer is using CIDR address's to only allow mail from MXLogic -MXLogic is a 3rd party filter service. -Customer was provided a CIDR range from MXLogic. Here is an example of the type of address that was provided: 192.168.1.250/21 -The range was placed in the configuration document under Router/SMTP -->Restrictions and controls --> SMTP inbound controls --> Inbound Connection Controls --> Allow connections only from the following SMTP internet hostnames/IP addresses--> IP range. -Only the ranges in the supper netted address should be allowed, this was not the case as any connecting host was allowed to connect and deposit mail/spam. -OS400 version is i5/OS release V5.R4 -I tested this on the Windows 32bit platform and it worked as intended. -This issue is specific to the AS400 running 8.5.1 -Earlier relases of Domino were not tested.
Local fix
To work around this issue. We had to list list ranges wild carding the 4th octet ([192.168.1.*],[192.168.2.*]., etc). This produced a lot more entries.
