Error description
PROBLEM: 851 FPx Unable to define Canon IRC4080 as default printer selection for Notes 851 on mac os 10.6.x; Notes freezes Can try following in review: 1. reboot in safe mode, relaunch Notes and confirm cmd-P and File/Print results 2. uninstall printer drivers for the network printers from one machine as a test, reboot the os and relaunch Notes and confirm cmd-P and File/Print results. Local fix
What worked: Reboot in safe mode works Notes appears to become unresponsive whenever the color printer Canon IRC4080 was set to the default The driver used was for a Canon IRC4080 printer, called "Canon IR C4080-H1 PS Ver2.0" If a different printer is designated as a default printer, the printing window comes up fine and you may be able to print to it a few times before issue occurs. However, you may notice that when you hit the drop down arrow and choose a different printer and select the Canon it gives you the spinning wheel and then you have to force quit notes.
