  I could reproduce the issue with WCT8.5.1_20090927.1229 on
  Windows XP using
  below scenario : ( This can only reproducible first time after
  unlock the notes
  client once the + or - sign come . Or Restart the Notes Client
  to see the issue
  again )
  
  
  I could also reproduce this issue with standalone Sametime 8.0.2
  Build 20081208
  
  1. Launch Notes client
  2. Set "Automatically lock my Notes ID after " so that notes can
  lock
  automatically
  3. let the Notes client to lock
  4. Provide the password and Open File -> Preference
  5. Click Sametime to see "Server communities " here i can't see
  expands sign.
  
  
  
  
  Original Step :
  
  When going to File -> Preferences and expanding Sametime in the
  left-
  hand tree, one sees an item called Server Communities. This item
  has no
  plus '+' sign in front of it, indicating that it cannot be
  expanded
  (see 01_before.jpg).
  
  Blindly double clicking on the 'Server Communities' item, it
  expands to
  show the server communities and the missing  sign to collapse it
  is
  added. (see 02_after.jpg)
  
  Certain options are only available when selecting the server
  
  communities directly from that tree (for example, changing the
  server
  name can only be done there). The lack of indication that the
  'Server
  Communities' can be expanded is confusing users.

• click on the options twice or go back into the preference
  options twice.
