LO52183: UNABLE TO DO "ARCHIVE SETTINGS" AFTER APPLYING ARCHIVE POLICY

APAR status

Error description

  • Problem Description:
    Unable to do "Archive Settings" after applying archive policy.
    
    
    It occurs when configuring a server with organizational unit
    name and country
    code.
    In case of configuring a server with organizational name only,
    it does not
    occur.
    
    Environment:
        Domino 6.5.4 with Windows 2000 SP4
    
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Install Domino Server and a couple of Notes client. (Client
    A, B)
    2. Configure Domino Server. (CN=Server Name, O=Organizational
    Name,
    OU=Organizational Unit Name, C=Country code)
          For example, O=TestOrg, OU=TestOrgUnit, C=US
    3. Start the server and Configure Client A as Administrator
        - Creates a User B for Client B
    4. Logon Client A with Administrator ID, and verify that
    "Archive Settings"
    works properly
    5. Logon Client B with User B, and verify that "Archive
    Settings" works properly
    6. Creates Archive Policy Settings document, for example
          Name: Archive
          Enable "Allow End User to ModifyTime" in Schedule
          Others are default
    7. Creates Archive Criteria Settings document for the above
    document, for
    example
          Name: ArcPolicy
          Enable "Enable archive criteria"
          Others are default
    8. Creates a policy document, for example
          Policy type: Organizational
          Archiving:   Select the document created the above step
    6.
    9. Restart the Server
    10. Logon Client A with Administrator ID, and open mail DB for
    Administrator ID.
    11. Verify that archive policy is applied by checking $Policies
    in the Admin's
    Address Book like below.
    
    12. Verify that "Archive Settings" works properly on mail DB.
           -> Result: Unable to modify it because the schedule
    button is disabled
    like below.
    
    13. Operate the above 10 through 12 on Client B with User B
           -> It also occurs on Client B.
    
    
    Note)
      - Specifies CN,O,OU and C when configuring Domino Server
          -> Above behavior occurs
    
      - Only specifies CN and O when configuring Domino Server
          -> Above behavior does not occur. "Archive Settings" works
    properly.
