LO51142: INSTALLATION OF FIX PACK FAILS WITH ERROR WHEN ATTEMPT TO APPLY ON NON-ENGLISH VERSION OF NOTES STANDARD

Error description

  • Installation of Fix Pack (FP) fails with the error "Unable to
    Open: <file path
    to old install module >\updateSite.zip" in non-English Notes
    Standard
    Configuration (e.g. Notes Japanese edition).
    
    *** Steps to reproduce ***
    1. Put the install module of All Notes Client 8.0.2 (Standard
    Configuration,
    Japanese) in your local directory and proceed the installation.
    The
    installation ends without error.
    e.g. C:\Documents and Settings\support\Local
    Settings\temp\AllClient802
    
    2. After the installation, setup it.
    
    3. Remove the installation module of Notes Client 8.0.2. --->
    Its' important to
    reproduce the problem.
    
    4. Put the install module of All Notes Client 8.5.1 (Standard
    Configuration,
    Japanese) in your local directory and proceed the
    installation.
    e.g. C:\Download Directory\Lotus_Designer_adm851_Win\AllClient
    851
    
    5. During the installation, the installer displays the message
    that Notes was
    upgraded partially, but the installation itself ends with no
    error.
    
    6. Remove the installation module of Notes Client 8.5.1---> Its'
    important to
    reproduce the problem.
    
    7. Apply FP2 for Notes 8.5.1. During installation, the installer
    displays the
    error.
