LO49933: WARNING MESSAGE ABOUT NSD AS A SERVICE IS WRITTEN TO LOG EVEN TH OUGH NSD IS RUNNING AS A SERVICE

Error description

• On windows 2008, we require that nsd run as a service to be able
  to gather all
  data on 2008. NSD is running as a service, however the nsd log
  reports the
  following warning:
  WARNING (0): The NSD service is required on this operating
  system and must be
  installed and started
              to enable NSD processing. Because of this
  requirement, the current
  NSD log
              may contain errors, warnings and missing data. See
  nsd -help for
  more
              information about installing NSD service using
  -svcinst and
  -svcstart options.
  
  Additionally, the nsd arguments do not list the service
  parameters expected
  Arguments       : "C:\Program Files
  (x86)\IBM\Lotus\Domino\nsd.exe"
  -dumpandkill -termstatus 5 -crashpid 2476 -crashtid 1536
  -runtime 600
  
  however, the nsd log looks like it captured all data without
  errors.
  
  The problem seems to be only if the install is located in
  "C:\Program Files
  (x86)\IBM\Lotus\Domino\". When located in the other program
  directory
  "C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Domino\" nsd log does not report any
  problems with
  nsd as a service.
