LO49223: CLIENT CPU USAGE CONTINUES AT HIGH LEVEL WITH CURSOR IS FLICKERI NG ABNORMALLY FREQUENTLY IN THE DWA INOTES

APAR status

• Closed as unreproducible.

Error description

• Client CPU usage continues at  high level with cursor is
  flickering abnormally frequently in the DWA iNotes.
  
  It happens when DWA iNotes mail is opened Initially and mouse is
  moved to over the action button.
  Symptom reproduced when Domino version is 8.5.1 FPHF59_W32 only.
  85FP1 and 851FP1HF57_AIX64 do not have this issue.
  
  Steps to reproduce
  
  1) Open Internet Explorer 6.x or 7.x  and go to your mail.
  2) Start Task Manager
  3) In the DWA iNotes mail, go to Preference > Basic tab and
  select   Show documents one page at a time (faster load time)
  4) Open the mail. Initially, the status of CPU usage goes up
  high and continues at some high level. It never goes down
  noticeably.
  
  The issue happens any DWA mail database.  Issue occurred  even
  though there is no document in the mail database which means
  documents are not related to this symptom.
  
  
  5)  Move mouse cursor to input text for search word. You can
  find cursor is flickering very frequently when CPU
  usage is high.
  6) Click [ESC] key on the keyboard.
   CPU usage goes down and cursor is not flickering any longer
  but prompts as normal.
  7)  Move mouse over the any action button
   , CPU usage goes up and cursor starts flickering very
  frequently again.
  

Local fix

• * Workaround : When [ESC] key is clicked symptom stops however,
  it repeats
  again when mouse is moved where actions buttons are located.
