LO48418: "TIMES NEW ROMAN" FONT FROM YAHOO! MAIL RECEIVED AS ROMAN FONT. CHINESE CHARATER IS UNABLE TO DISPLAY

Error description

• Steps to reproduce the problem:
  In default, it is  Yahoo classic mail interface
  After signing to Yahoo Mail classic, select "Options" from
  right-upper corner
  Click "The new Yahoo! Mail has arrived! Try it now!" link to
  switch to new
  Yahoo! Mail beta
  Click "Try it Now" in next screen
  Compose a new message
  Chinese characters with "Times new roman" font, for example
  Open received message in Notes client (I have used Notes 8),
  Chinese character
  will appear as "..... " Edit the message, and highlight the
  "..." Chinese
  character, the font shows as "Roman" instead of "Times new
  roman"
  Change the font to "Times new roman" the Chinese character will
  appear correctly
  Here is another way to reproduce the problem.
  Telnet to port 25 of testing SMTP server
  Follow RFC821 to give proper protocol for correspondent
  recipient in your
  testing environment
  for example
  HELO frank01
  MAIL FROM:this@test.com
  RCPT TO:admin@sg.ibm.com
  DATA
  copy and past content from attachment mime_messages.txt
  input "." to complete data input
  type "quite" to complete session and sending message
  In my testing, I have enabled "SMTPSaveImportErrors=2" to trap
  the message
  st981135.TMP and received e-mail database.
  

Local fix

• On Yahoo! mail beta, Do not use "Times New Roman" font, use
  other font. for
  example "Courier" font
  Use Yahoo! mail classic, instead of Yahoo! mail beta release.
