Error description

  • Cannot open attached file downloaded to  IMAP client
    
    Domino Server : AIX 5.3 / 64-bit Domino 85FP1HF473 ,  Windows
    2003 / 32-bit

    Outlook Client : Windows XP / Outlook Express 6.0 and  Outlook
    2003
    Protocol : IMAP
    
    Symptom is reproduced in all server platforms (AIX and
    Windows).
    Local team tested with Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0 and
    Microsoft Outlook 2003.  Symptom is reproduced in both clients.
    
    *** Steps to reproduce
    1. Start Domino 8.5 FP1 server
    
    2.  From the Internet Explorer 7.0, open the document and
    download the two attached files.
    ==> No problem to open the downloaded the two files (ppt and
    xls) in client laptop.
    
    4. Create a new account in Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0 or
    Microsoft Outlook 2003 and download the document.
    ==> Could not open the downloaded two files (ppt and xls).
    
    *** Further test result
    When checked the same step under the "POP3" protocol instead of
    "IMAP"
    protocol, issue is not on POP3.
    There was no problem to open the downloaded two files (ppt and
    xls) in case
    POP3 protocol is used.
    A bug in CD to MIME conversion is suspected
