Error description

  • When user accepts an Internet invitation, gets the following
    error and fails to
    accept the invitation:
"An error occurred while saving: No names found to send mail
    to".

More testing found that the problem relates to the version of
the receiver's notes client and the receiver's
location document->Mail->Format for messages addressed to
    internet addresses.

Please refer to below table for testing result:
Notes client version, location->MIME, location->Notes rich text
    7.0.1, succeed, succeed
    7.0.3, fail, succeed
    7.0.4, fail, succeed
    8.5.1, fail, succeed

From the name look-up debug log, the notes client was trying to
    look up the name
    "aa D bb/mycom"<aa_D_bb/mycom':

    NAMELookup::<lookup> Searching name='"aa D
    bb/mycom"<aa_D_bb/mycom' (1 of 1 names).

But the chair name is 'aa_bb@mycom.com' in the
    invitation.

Local fix

  • set the 'Format for messages addressed to internet addresses' to
    Notes rich
    text.
