Error description

  • I've been trying to reproduce this on 852 and 802FP3 build and
    so far haven't
been able to. Here is my environment and steps. It looks like
    the same as the
author's description. If author disagree please provide more
    information

    Test environment:
    Server: V802_FP3 /Windows 2003 sp1

    Steps:
    2 users - 802user1= manager, 802user2 = delegate to
    802user1's mail file
Give 802user2 access to 802user1's 'mail file via delegation
802user2 creates a new single meeting invite in 802user1's mail
    file
In the required field add 802User3 and an internet email address
    of an external
user (ex: jf3@sur.mc.aaa.com, this is a external Exchange2003
    user)
Select the Attach button and add an attachment
Save and Send. The invitation send out correctly. I cannot see
    the "you are not
authorized to perform that operation" issue.
Here is route information of Domino server. work fine.
Revalidated using WCT8.0.2 Gold client and 8.02 FP3 server.

    ======================================
"You are not authorized to perform that operation" when sending
    a meeting
invite that includes an attachment, a notes invitee, and an ical
    invitee.

    Steps to Reproduce:
    8.0.2 FP3 client
    mail8 template
    2 users - User A= manager, User B = delegate to user A's mail
    file
Give user B access to User A's 'mail file via delegation
User B creates a new meeting invite in User A's mail file
In the required field add User C and an internet email address
    of an external
    user (ex: test@gmail.com)
Select the Attach button and add an attachment
    Select Save and Send
You will see an error "you are not authorized to perform that
    operation"

This issue does NOT occur if you just add the internet address
    and attach a
file. This only seems to be an issue when you have both a notes
    user and an
internet user included in the invite AND you attach a
    document.
It also doesn't matter if the meeting is a single instance or a
    repeat meeting.

Local fix

  • Send the invite to JUST the ical invitee with the attachment and
    do not include
    any other invitees
