Error description

  • Domino / Notes currently does not support extended domains ( or

"Internationalized Domain Name" or "Umlaut-Domains" ) .
please see RFC3490
This is true for HTTP as well as SMTP .

Extended domains are just starting up and it can be expected
that the lack of
support of extended domains may become a serious problem pretty
soon .
In countries like Germany the use of Umlauts is very common and
it seems to be
a strong demand for Umlaut-Domains .
