Error description

  • When the user tried to shut down the Notes client he saw below
    error message.
The customer is using Citrix presentation server 5.0, I don't
    know if it's a
supported configuration. (presentation server 4.5 is
    supported)

"Unable to save the desktop - This database cannot be read due
    to an invalid on
    disk structure"

Local fix

  • Below error message indicates the Notes client couldn't access
desktop8.ndk and bookmark.nsf because there's some corruption in
them. This problem could be due to database itself, network,
    harddisk and configuration.

"Unable to save the desktop - This database cannot be read due
to an invalid on disk structure"

To move this problem forward, I have some recommendation for
    you.

    Recommendation:
    ================
    - run database maintenance command on desktop8.ndk and
    bookmark.nsf.

    1) fixup -F
    2) compact -c
    3) updall -R
