LO41779: DAOS UNABLE TO WRITE TO FILE ON AIX AFTER A FOLDER 'LOST+FOUND' WAS AUTOMATICALLY CREATED.

APAR status

• Closed as returned (APAR cannot be resolved without additional info from IBM or customer.)

Error description

• The Customer  created a new logical volume with file system for
  DAOS.
  He mounted this under '/<datadir>/DAOS'. AIX created
  automatically a folder 'Lost+Found'. Then Customer ran 'compact
  -c daos', but the following error message occurs :
  
  'The database /comms/admin/BackupN8.TMP was unable to write to
  file
  /comms/DAOS/0001/D9EBEFDAB0DB33C1C12575CF0045055C1D9EBEFDAB0DB33
  P.nlo: File cannot be created'
  
  
  After deleting the folder 'Lost+Found' the command 'compact -c
  daos' ran without errors. Customer thinks the cause of the
  issue is about the rights on folder 'Lost+Found' (root access
  needed).
  
  The Operating System re-creates the folder when the System is
  rebooted and Filesystems are checked.
  
  Workaround:
  After deleting the folder 'Lost+Found' the command 'compact -c
  daos' ran without errors
