LO40461: "WARNING 2343.SPECIFIED PATH IS EMPTY" WHEN UPGRADING NOT NOTES 8.5 USING SURUNAS

APAR status

• Closed as Permanent restriction.

Error description

• Error when upgrading to Notes 8.5 Standard.  For a small
  percentage of
  users, customer is seeing an odd error during install/upgrade to
  Notes 8.5.
  
  Dialog displays stating "Warning 2343. Specified path is empty".
   After
  this message is displayed and one hits OK, the install backs out
  and
  leaves the end user with the previous release (release they were
  trying
  to upgrade FROM). "Warning 2343" is a new error that we are
  seeing when
  deploying Notes 8.5.
  
  It appears from the logs that when the upgrade is removing the
  previous
  released, it gets hung on a NULL folder, which then throws the
  "Warning 2343".
  
  If they do not use the packaged wrapped in the SuRunas utility,
  this issue
  is not seen.
