Error description

  • Problem description
When using a web page for creating a widget then if there are
    normal http links
within the widget they open in the widget sidebar panel.
If these links should open a new window either through
    JavaScript, http
references or right click...open in new window then the created
    window does not
take account of user preferences for the browser.
It always opens in an embedded window rather than an Internet
    Explorer window,
this is different behaviour than a link embedded in an email,
    which respects
the preferences and opens in a separate Internet Explorer
    window.
    Consequences:
The embedded browser does not work in the same way as the
    separate browser
(window resizes and other code has no effect). User preferences
    are not
    respected.
    Environment
    Windows XP
    Notes 8.5
    Steps to reproduce
1.Put an example html page on a web server or create a domino
    html page using
the html code to open a website (e.g. www.google.com).
    2) Open page in Notes http browser
    3) Use widget toolbar to create widget from current context
    4) Select to add to sidebar
    5) Ensure the Internet Explorer is the browser to display the
    url
    5) Press the url link "open google" and notice that the link
    opens in an
embedded window rather than an Internet Explorer window.
    6) With the same settings of the browser, if you embed a link in
    an email, the
url is opened in Internet Explorer window.
