LO39116: FORMULA ERROR OCCURS IN INOTES WHEN UPGRADING TO DOMINO 8.5

Error description

  Apparently, when upgrading from a previous version of Domino to
  8.5 (and
  upgrading the ODS to 51), the use of attention indictors via
  policy settings is
  causing a formula error in iNotes. Workarounds described in the
  articles
  involve either deleting profile notes or disabling attention
  indictors via
  policies and then reapplying policies.

  demostrates the problem - the problem is in the colorprofile
  profile note in
  the db - the $ToStuff item on that note has an invalid formula
  ToNamesList:= ;
  after upgrade to 8.5 domino server.  please see the history in
  this spr  for
  more information.
  Also, I believe a change to mailmisc\mailpolicyapi.cpp made by
  either Alaa or
  Jack could been the root of this problem and/or/along with the
  upgrade to 8.5
  server with ODS 51).  I will followup with Jack.  Bottom line,
  it seems that
  when the server is upgraded to 8.5, an existing mail policy is
  triggered that
  contains attention indicators and this triggering of the mail
  policy after the
  8.5 server upgrade (and ODS upgrade to 51) is altering the
  $ToStuff item on
  the colorprofile profile note in users mail files.

• Disable use of Mail policy to apply attention indicators.
